Catalog first, archived documents second

Clarkson's 2026-27 academic catalog is the rulebook that binds you today. Each NRS clinical course page prints its hour figure and a note that the preceptor and site have to be approved ahead of registration, and Policy AA-55 fixes the totals for each program.

The practical detail, such as how the DocuSign agreement moves from advisor to Compliance, the semester paperwork dates and the preceptor rules for each NP track, sat in the graduate handbook and the November 2023 clinical sheets, which Clarkson no longer posts. We label every such detail with its document and year, and name the Clarkson office that can confirm what applies now, most often your Graduate Nursing advisor.

Can I read Clarkson's graduate nursing handbook online?

Not on the public site right now. Clarkson removed its graduate handbooks, preceptor handbooks and clinical rotation sheets from its website after mid-2025, and the certificate page asks students to request the handbook. The archived 2021-22 edition is the most recent complete copy on record.

Which Clarkson offices sign off on a preceptor?

Approval passes through several hands. The Graduate Nursing advisor confirms the course and semester on the agreement, the Compliance office checks for an affiliation agreement or begins one, Graduate Nursing approves the file, and course faculty clear you before any hours count.

What sources sit behind these Clarkson guides?

Are the DNP and the MSN practicums covered too?
